Men's fitness tights

For the vast majority of male fitness enthusiasts, well-fitting professional sports tights are a cost-effective item that takes into account training efficiency and injury protection. There is no need to be bound by the stereotypes of "embarrassing" and "not masculine enough". If you choose the right style and suit the scene, you can wear them comfortably and appropriately.

I also had the problem of twisting my butt when I first entered the gym. I saw that personal trainers and veterans who had been practicing for several years were all wearing tight-fitting black tights. I ordered a pair and was afraid to wear them to the gym. I wore wide basketball shorts and practiced for three months. Until I was doing a deadlift and my trousers caught a 20kg barbell plate.

This does not mean that it is suitable for everyone. Several friends I know in the powerlifting circle basically do not use tight pants. When they practice, they wear heavy knee pads. The tight pants stick to the legs. When the knee pads are lifted up, they get stuck. On the contrary, it is more convenient to wear loose overalls made of washed cloth. The protective gear can be taken off and put on quickly. When squatting to the bottom, there is no sense of restraint of the fabric pulling on the crotch. Are you saying they are unprofessional? Everyone can squat twice their body weight, which is much higher than many enthusiasts wearing full professional equipment.

Seriously, don’t buy leggings randomly. I grabbed a pair at a Duoduo store for 9.9 yuan a while ago. The seams in the crotch fell apart when I put them on for the second squat. Fortunately, I wore shorts that day, otherwise I would have died on the spot. Moreover, the spandex content of the cheap ones was less than 5%, which caused pain in the groin and made my legs numb for almost half an hour after training. Later I found out that the spandex content of serious sports tights must be at least 15%. They are four-way elastic and can bounce back quickly when pulled out. They will not collapse on the legs or cause the skin to become red. When I buy now, I also choose pants with non-slip silicone strips on the hems so that they won't move up even when I squat. The ones I bought before didn't have anti-slip strips. Every time I finished squatting, I had to pull the trouser legs for a long time, which was annoying to death. By the way, don’t believe the “fat-burning tights” that those merchants boast about and “you can lose weight just by wearing them.” They are all IQ taxes. The function of tights is to compress muscles and reduce tremors, and are quick-drying and breathable to avoid skin abrasion. At most, there is a velvet style to keep warm in winter, but it has no weight loss effect. If you really want to lose weight, you have to control your mouth and open your legs.

The most controversial issue of "should we wear shorts or not?" has really been quarreling for several years. I have seen some people pointing at boys wearing leggings alone in the gym and saying "nondescript". I have also seen some people feel that wearing shorts is unnecessary and boring. In fact, it all depends on the situation. If you go to a comprehensive fitness center with a swimming pool, old people and children, it is indeed more appropriate to wear quick-drying shorts to avoid unnecessary embarrassment; if you go to a pure iron gym, or practice at home, it is absolutely fine to wear it alone. No one will stare at your legs, everyone is busy working on the weight. Now I basically wear it alone when I go to the gym in the summer. In the winter, I wear fleece sports pants over it. I can take them off when I get hot from training, which is very convenient.

The models adapted to different sports are different. If you love road running or riding an exercise bike, choose the one with breathable crotch pads and zoned pressure. The pressure on the calf part is greater, which can reduce muscle tremors. You will not feel sore in your legs after running for ten kilometers. If you mainly train for strength, choose the one with more wear-resistant fabric and seamless crotch cutting. It will not grind the thighs during deadlifts and lunges. I ran a half-marathon without wearing tights, and my thighs were bruised and painful for three days. Later, I wore lined tights and ran the whole race without any problems.

There is also the stereotype that "wearing tight pants makes you a girl". I talked to a guy who practices CrossFit before, and he said that he used to think it was weird for men to wear tight pants, until he fell while jumping from a box, and the loose trousers hooked on the edge of the box, causing his calf to bleed. Since then, he has worn tight pants every day.

To put it bluntly, there is no standard answer to what to wear when working out. It just needs to be comfortable for you and does not affect your training. No matter how good the tights are, but you feel awkward wearing them, it is better to wear the big pants you like to wear. After all, we go to the gym to practice, not to go to the catwalk, right?
