There is no unified must-eat/forbidden list for allergy taboos. The core principle is to only avoid foods that you are clearly allergic to. If you eat other foods that you are not uncomfortable with, you can eat them normally.
Two years ago, I met a little girl who was allergic to dust mites and mangoes. I first heard on the Internet that she should avoid eggs, milk, and all seafood for allergies. She had not touched these for three months, and her face was still red and itchy. Later, I went for a specific IgE test and found that she was not allergic to eggs, milk, or seafood at all.
Many people struggle with whether to avoid hairy foods. This is actually a very controversial point nowadays. The older generation always says that people with allergies should avoid beef, mutton, rooster, seafood and other hairy foods. However, there is currently no evidence-based medical evidence to prove that these foods will generally aggravate allergy symptoms. The so-called rash and redness after eating "hairy foods" are essentially due to individual allergies to specific ingredients in such foods. If it is eaten by other people who are not allergic, there will be no problem at all. An elder brother with chronic urticaria came for consultation before. He said that he had not even eaten lean pork due to the advice of the elderly in his family. He ate white porridge with vegetables every day. He lost eight pounds in half a month. The rash should grow or not. Later, he did an allergen test and found that he was not allergic to pork, beef or mutton. He went back to eating meat normally to supplement nutrition, but the frequency of attacks dropped a lot. The doctor couldn't laugh or cry when he talked about it.
Of course, this does not mean that there are no taboos when you are allergic. If you are in an acute attack and the permeability of blood vessels in your skin is higher than usual, then eating normally high-histamine foods, such as mature cheese, cooked seafood that has been stored for two or three days, alcohol, and particularly spicy food, may indeed aggravate the symptoms of redness and itching. In this case, just avoid it for three to five days, and you can eat normally when the allergy is gone. There is no need to avoid food for a long time.
Speaking of individual differences, there are really big differences. I have a friend who is allergic to apples. No one would believe me when I told her, but she did get a small red rash on the corner of her mouth when she bit an apple. On the contrary, everyone said that she must not touch crabs if she is allergic. She was fine even if she ate three or four at a time. If you are really not sure what you are allergic to, don't search the list online. Either go to the hospital for an allergen test, or keep a food diary for two weeks. Write down every time you eat something that makes your allergy worse. If you try it two or three times and you get a reaction every time, it will be too late to avoid it. Otherwise, you will not eat anything and your nutrition will be destroyed. Your immunity will not be able to keep up, and your allergy will be healed slowly.
