For the vast majority of women, acupuncture and massage can be used together. In many cases, the effect of combined conditioning is more obvious than doing either alone.
A 28-year-old Internet operator girl I treated last week is a typical example. She has suffered from lumbar protrusion from sitting for a long time, and she also suffers from menstrual cramps all year round. When she came that day, her waist was so stiff that she couldn't bend down, and her stomach was stuffy and painful. I first performed gentle massage on her waist and abdomen for 20 minutes to loosen the tight erector spinae and rectus abdominis muscles, and then pricked the Shenshu, Guanyuan, and Sanyinjiao acupoints. During the gap between the needles, I rubbed her stiff trapezius muscles. She turned her waist when I took the needle, saying that it would take a long time for the pain to go away after being alone. This time, she felt 70% lighter on the spot, and she could bend down to pick things up.
However, not everyone is suitable to do it together. Many colleagues who hold conservative views will also remind women who are particularly weak in energy and blood to be cautious. For example, if you have just given birth to a baby in the first three months, if you have just been discharged from the hospital after major surgery within half a year, or if you have been weak and short of breath since you just recovered, both conditioning methods have the effect of dredging qi and blood. If done at the same time, it may aggravate the dissipation of qi and blood. On the contrary, you will feel dizzy and weak, unable to walk. There are also women who have sensitive skin, or have eczema or ulcers on their body. The rubbing movements during massage can easily touch the pinholes left by acupuncture, which will increase the risk of infection. In this case, it is not recommended to perform the same operation at the same time.
In fact, the logic of matching is very simple. Just like before you water the flowers, you must loosen the soil first so that water can penetrate into the roots. Massage is the step of loosening the soil. The tight muscles are loosened, and the stimulation of acupuncture can better penetrate into the deeper layers. The soreness and swelling of Deqi will also be more obvious, and the effect will naturally be doubled.
Of course, the premise is that you are looking for a licensed operator from a regular institution. When a girl came to see a doctor before, she said that after a back oil massage in a beauty salon, she received an acupuncture on the spot. During the massage, a small subcutaneous bruise appeared. When the acupuncture happened to hit the bruise, she suffered pain for almost a week. There was also a small hard lump swollen at the needle hole, which made her suffer a disaster.
If you are really not sure whether you are suitable or not, before the operation, tell the physical therapist clearly about your recent physical condition, whether you have allergies, whether you have had surgery, and whether you will get tired easily recently. The other person will naturally help you decide whether to do it separately, so you don’t have to worry about it~
