Currently, the golden period for postpartum recovery is generally recognized in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and obstetrics and health care as within 6 months after delivery. Some studies and front-line practitioners have also extended this window period to 12 months after delivery. In fact, there is no absolutely unified standard answer, and it must be considered based on the individual's physical condition. I have been in a maternity care facility for almost five years and have seen many mothers who have gone through many pitfalls. The one who impressed me the most was a mother who gave birth to twins naturally last year. She was reexamined 42 days after giving birth and had 3 fingers of diastasis in her rectus abdominis. Her pelvic floor muscle strength was only level 1 and she leaked urine even when she sneezed. , because I seized the best time for early recovery, I did instrument-assisted repair twice a week, and followed Kegel exercises and abdominal breathing at home. In less than 5 months, I basically returned to my pre-pregnancy state, and even the fake hip width I saved during the previous pregnancy has improved a lot.

However, don’t think that there is no hope after 6 months. Many front-line obstetricians and health practitioners also believe that there is no absolute “golden period” and it is never too late as long as you start to intervene. I had previously received a mother with a second child. She didn’t know about systematic postpartum recovery until almost two years after giving birth. Her waist was almost broken when she held her baby, and she didn’t even dare to jump rope. After following us for 8 months of systematic training, the problems of urinary leakage and back pain were also solved. However, the recovery speed was indeed much slower than that of intervention right after giving birth, and the cost was nearly twice as much.

To put it bluntly, the postpartum body is like newly soaked plasticine. When you first take it out, it can be easily molded into any shape you want. Once it is hardened, it is not impossible to change it, but it will take more effort to polish it. Don't mess around just to catch up with the so-called golden period. I have seen people who followed online tutorials to do abdominal curls just 20 days after giving birth. Originally, the rectus abdominis only separated one finger, but after half a month of blind practice, it directly became three fingers.
