Circumcision is one of the common surgical methods of circumcision and needs to be performed by a professional doctor under sterile conditions. During the surgery, the inner and outer plates of the foreskin are fixed to the ring-shaped instrument through a ligation device. After the blood supply is blocked, the distal foreskin will naturally necrosis and fall off.
It is necessary to evaluate the length of the foreskin and the presence of inflammation before surgery, and use a measuring ruler to determine the extent of resection after local anesthesia. When placing the collar, ensure that the inner and outer plates are aligned to avoid being too tight, causing edema, or being too loose, which may affect the effect. There may be slight pain or bleeding within 24 hours after surgery, which can be relieved by ice pack. The collar begins to separate from the necrotic tissue on 5-7 days after surgery, and falls off completely on 10-14 days. During this period, the wound needs to be kept dry, disinfected with iodophor daily, and strenuous exercise or sexual stimulation should be avoided. If continuous bleeding, severe pain or fever occurs, seek medical attention promptly.
Loose cotton underwear should be worn after surgery to reduce friction, and bathing or swimming should be prohibited within two weeks. Eat a light diet and avoid spicy and irritating foods. Painful nocturnal erections may occur during recovery and may be relieved by lying on your side. No sexual intercourse until complete healing, and regular check-ups to ensure the wound is free of infection. Normal activities can be gradually resumed 1 month after surgery, but attention should be paid to the healing of the anastomosis.
